KINGSBRIDGE Private Hospital, part of the 3fivetwo Group, have made a Giant signing for Belfast.
The leading Belfast-based healthcare providers are delighted to announce their role as Medical Partners for the Belfast Giants. The exciting partnership will offer the ice hockey team and their families the highest level of medical care to ensure they are all fighting fit for the upcoming season.
As Medical Partners, the Belfast Giants will have access to state-of-the-art equipment, industry specialists and 24-hour care as well as the National Sports Injury Clinic at Kingsbridge Private Hospital on the Lisburn Road.
Belfast Giants legend Adam Keefe knows all too well about the importance of good health after more than 15 years at the top of the professional ice hockey game. The experienced player, who was recently appointed the Belfast Giants Head Coach, said:
“I am thrilled to have Kingsbridge Private Hospital partner with the Belfast Giants for the upcoming season. We are all looking forward to the months ahead with them.”
Famous for his no-nonsense style of play on the ice and popularity among supporters, Adam Keefe captained the squad from 2012/13 until their most recent season. He believes Kingsbridge Private Hospital’s world class facilities will also offer his players, the coaching staff and their families peace of mind as they tackle the Elite Ice Hockey League once again.
“There are lots of synergies between the Giants organisation and Kingsbridge. They are an exciting local brand who are market leaders in their category and are always innovative in their approach to sports medicine,” added Adam Keefe.
Kingsbridge Private Hospital operates the only private GP and casualty service in Northern Ireland, ensuring that the ice hockey team avoid lengthy waiting times and are seen by some of the best healthcare professionals in the business.
The luxury clinic, owned by the 3fivetwo Group, offers same-day MRI and CT scans in the multi-million pound scanning suite, cardiac screening, physiotherapy, ear and eye care, orthopaedic consultancy, cryotherapy and sports therapy, services greatly needed by top sports stars.
Former Munster Rugby, Exeter Chiefs, Sports Institute of Northern Ireland, Derry GAA and Irish Football Association sports physiotherapist Shea McAleer will offer his invaluable experience to the Giants to keep injuries to a minimum and make rehabilitation as successful as possible.
At the five-star facility’s National Sports Injury Clinic, the Belfast Giants will also have access to over 400 specialists in Northern Ireland as well as a comprehensive referral pathway which will allow the players to be assessed and triaged at the clinic. Kingsbridge’s dedicated team of Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Consultants will also be on-hand round-the-clock.
But at the heart of the Kingsbridge brand lies a love for setting the highest standards in patient care, ultimately leading to a more enjoyable, efficient and effective experience.
“We are delighted to announce our new Medical Partnership with the Belfast Giants,” said Kingsbridge Private Hospital CEO Mark Regan.
“Our aim is to provide the highest standards in medical care, ensuring our patients are as comfortable and content as can be. We will be on-hand for any of the players’ needs and they will have immediate access to contact us if there’s any medical issues or concerns they have.
“Many of the Belfast Giants are not originally from Northern Ireland so we are pleased to be able to offer them and their families a home-from-home medical service at Kingsbridge Private Hospital. Our expertly trained staff will ensure the whole team is well cared for and treated with the highest levels of technological advancement and expertise.
“We look forward to working with the Belfast Giants and wish them all the best for the new season ahead.”
